Why do stainless steel threads become jammed on element terminals?

We use stainless steel element terminal bolts.

Can your Vent-Sure discharge out of the roof instead of the wall?

There is no problem whatsoever venting the kiln out of the roof as long
as you take precautions to protect the opening like you would any roof
vent.

Notes on Sectional Kiln Construction

Kilns used on

  • All L&L top-loading kilns are sectional.Front-Loading kilns are not sectional.

Why do we use sectional construction?

There are some small ceramic discs wedged in some of the element holders. Do I fire that way first to keep the elements in place?

The discs are placed in the element holders to keep the elements from coming out during shipment.

It is not necessary to keep them in place for the first firing.
