Replacing a Control Transformer in an L&L Automatic Kiln
Remove the four #6 screws that hold the control in place from the front face of the control panel.
Removing Panel for Service
Unplug the kiln.
Check transformer for proper operation
Check voltage across the top center tap and either of the two top taps.
Check internal wires
Check power cord
Make sure power cord is plugged in.
Reseat the plug. Pull it out of the receptacle and put it back it. This will reseat the connections.
Check operation of the On/Off Toggle Switch
Make sure the On/Off switch is turned on.
What is a UL499 or MET listing?
Is UL499 Listing Required?
Is it OK to have a 24 amp e18S or Liberty-Belle kiln on a 50 amp circuit?
This is fine to do if you are careful.
How do I hook up my kiln to power?
L&L's official recommendation is for an electrician to connect the kiln to power.
