CORROSION RESISTANT CASE MATERIALS
INSURE LONG LIFE OF YOUR NEW KILN
- Kilns create corrosive conditions from heat and fumes. L&L kilns are built to last in this tough environment.
- For instance many clays contain sulfur and as well as the moisture that is in the clay. When combined under heat some of these substances combine to form highly corrosive sulfuric acid that can slowly eat away at the case of the kiln.
- All Easy-Fire, Jupiter, Liberty-Belle, DaVinci and Doll kilns feature stainless steel cases. All screws used to in the case construction are stainless steel - not zinc or cadmium plated carbon steel which will eventually rot under these tough conditions.
- The stands of the Easy-Fire, Jupiter, Liberty-Belle, and Doll kilns are made from aluminized steel which resists high temperatures. The hinge parts of the Easy-Fire and Jupiter kilns are also made of galvannealed steel or aluminized steel.
- The DaVinci stand and counterbalance assembly is made from heavy welded angle iron stand is powder coated or painted with enamel. On top of the stand rests a support plate of aluminized steel.
