MOST EASY-FIRE KILNS
FIRE TO CONE 10
2350F - 1287C
- Cone 10 is hot enough to fire stoneware and porcelain.
- The Easy-Fire kilns were designed from the ground up to have as much power as we could get into the kilns and still be under the 48 amp limitation so we could provide each kiln with a 50 amp plug.
- The 18" high e23S and e28S have more than enough power to get to cone 10. Comparible Jupiter models (the J23 and J2918 can't reach cone 10 because of limitations in the element jumper cords and the need to make the elements of the J23 compatible with the entire flexible line.
- The e28T 240 volt single phase kiln is limited to cone 8 because of its power limitations. The 208 volt single phase kiln has less power and so is limited to cone 5. Both use the absolute maximum power we can get with the 48 amp limitation.
- If you need cone 10 operation in a 10 cubic foot kiln and you only have single phase power then the J2927 would be recommended.
- On the other hand, if you have 3 phase available, you will notice that the KW of the e28T-240-3P and the e28T-3P three phase units actually exceeds the power of our Jupiter JD2927 and most if not all other 10 cubic foot kilns on the market. In most cases 208 volts is available in 3 phase.
